Unsuccessful start
Unfortunately, today failed to win the lions of his first match in the second division. I think decided on the first half where we played too nervous and we lost three goals . In the second half of the game started to arrange our way but unfortunately we could not score a goal. ball two times reaching the post. Unfortunately not scored a penalty kick - the ball hit again the post .In mid-third also had several good situations, unfortunately, also without luck. the only goal for us in this match scored our little "Messi" Arash Ahmadi, who used free-kick. Despite the unfavorable result of the boys will reach more experience and I hope we play better all the time in the league.
2010/11 SEASON REVIEW
The U9’s Lions team was formed last summer from principally children who had attended the Saturday Morning Soccer School. For both me the coach Kamil and the players this was the first season playing in a league. After several weeks of training and some friendly games the team started off in the fifth Timperley League Division making a superb start by beating the first opponent 12-0. After another decisive victory, we were promoted to the third division of the league. After a successful start the team suffered its first two defeats, which have shown us how much more work ahead of us and the boys realised that they could not always win, and to have continued success they must work hard in training, every one of the children rose to the challenge and their commitment has been fantastic.
After a few winter tournaments in which we played with the teams from higher divisions, the players started playing as a team developing greater understanding of the games and the importance of working together.. In the next games in our division we achieved five victories with only one draw which I hope will give us promotion to the higher division next season. The players will continue to hone their skills and in one of the spring tournaments we achieved our first success as we got to the finals after a goalless tie and we lost in the shootout but nevertheless we won our first trophy for second place. In the course of the season the players started to play some impressive football and all have developed their skills.
As I have said to you at the outset it was the first year for the team and I see it as a very successful one. I hope the players and parents through training and a good atmosphere in the team have grown to love football even more and that it will play a big role in their future. I would both like to thank all parents for their help in organizing our matches both on the pitch as well as in our away matches.
